Adronicus K. Byamungu Grace Mihayo Grace Mihayo is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and subordinate courts thereto except primary courts, and was admitted as an Advocate in Tanzania in 2004. Prior to associating with ADCA Veritas Law Group, Mrs. Mihayo was a Partner at the Planet Law Firm Advocates since 2007 and her practice focused on company, employment, corporate and commercial matters as well as related litigation. Prior thereto, she was Chief Legal Counsel and Company Secretary at Habari Corporation Limited and her responsibilities included the safe guarding of the corporation’s interests. In that capacity, Mrs. Mihayo drafted legal documents such as agency agreements, lease and employment contracts, supervised outside counsel, and managed debt collection matters, among others. From 2001 to 2006, Mrs. Mihayo was a Legal Officer at the National Microfinance Bank Limited where she identified and analyzed various legislation, policies, regulations and circulars that impacted the bank and assessed compliance with the same. In addition, she reviewed the bank’s policies to ensure conformity with law and ensured effective implementation of those policies; reviewed the NMB code of conduct and monitored its observance by all NMB staff; translated laws, informed and educated staff on legislative changes and malpractices affecting the banking industry, provided legal advice regarding and ensured the bank’s compliance with applicable banking, tax, corporate and labor laws. Prior thereto, Mrs. Mihayo was a Legal Officer at H. Kishaluli & Company, Advocates. Mrs. Mihayo concentrates her practice on administrative, regulatory, company, corporate, banking, and labor and employment matters. In addition, she provides legal aid services on a pro bono basis to women who lack the financial ability to hire counsel. Casmir F. Nkuba Casmir F. Nkuba is a holder of a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Laws both obtained at the University of Dar es Salaam in 2007 and 1997, respectively. Mr. Nkuba is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and subordinate courts thereto except primary courts, and was admitted as an Advocate in Tanzania in 2003. He is also a Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths. Prior to associating with ADCA Veritas Law Group, Mr. Nkuba was a Co-Founder and Partner of ADCA Advocates, a position he held for two years. Mr. Nkuba began employment with Tanzania Postal Bank in 2001 as a Senior Legal Officer. He was promoted to the position of Head of Legal Services Department and Chief Legal Counsel before becoming the Bank’s Director of Legal Services and Board Secretary, a position he held until 30th September, 2012 when he decided to leave the Bank’s employment and join the Firm on a full time basis. During his service in the banking industry, Mr. Nkuba was appointed to represent the industry in the Commercial Court Users Committee, which is an advisory body of the High Court of Tanzania (Commercial Division). He was also appointed to represent the Association as a Board member of the Rural Energy Agency Fund. Mr. Nkuba is a certified Director by the Institute of Directors UK (IoD UK). Prior to joining Tanzania Postal Bank, Mr. Nkuba served as Legal Officer at Furaha Finance Limited (now known I & M Bank (Tanzania) Limited), then as Company Secretary. Thereafter, he joined Kesaria & Company, Advocates, in 2000 as a Legal Officer. Mr. Nkuba is knowledgeable in banking operations, finance, information technology, contract negotiations and drafting, capital markets (law and operations), commercial and corporate law, labor and employment matters, litigation, taxation and corporate governance matters. |
